Two Year Vacation
The band Two Year Vacation was born out of the following contradiction: the quintet was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden's second largest city and a harbour town known for its rain, wind and greyness - Two Year Vacation, on the other hand, for their rhythmic, radio-friendly feel-good indie pop.
Inspired by trivial everyday routines and dreams, their music moves in and through a fascinating mixture of Italo disco, rock and Caribbean cabbage with light-hearted, happy rhythms wrapped in a tropical vibe. Musically, the influences range from ABBA and Fatboy Slim to early Daft Punk and MGMT, Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend and Peter Björn & John.
With their infectious charm, Two Year Vacation thrive on bringing out the bright colours between the greys of their surroundings and banish the stale sensations of the mundane.
