Once upon a time, when Bea Laus was seven years old, she invented a fantastic world. She named the countries, cities and places with the care of a benevolent creator. It was a huge, sprawling place - big enough that Bea could disappear into it at any time. She called it "Beatopia". Fourteen years later, Bea is ready to invite everyone into her world, which she presents on her second album "Beatopia". Beabadoobee is a generationally talented songwriter and living proof that guitar music still thrives.
Beatopia was born as a testament to the wonders that self-acceptance and love for those around you can bring about. The fruits of their freedom range from bossa nova ("Perfect Pair") to midwest emo ("Pictures of Us", co-written and sung with Matty Healy [The 1975]) to OPM-influenced classics ("You're here, that's the thing"). Their signature guitar sound is also heard, of course.
