DIVEBAR YOUTH is the project of Vinnie Barbaro, an Australian artist and producer known for versatile songwriting and a gritty take on alt-pop. In a short space of time, he has made a name for himself Down Under and gained a loyal fan base.
In November 2024, Barbaro released the highly anticipated EP ‘Petrichor’. ‘Petrichor’ explores themes of transience and resilience, capturing the fleeting nature of life. Barbaro explores the bittersweet beauty of growing up, the uncertainty of the future and the strength that lies in facing the unknown with open arms.
With his background of a family that fled poverty, Barbaro has also felt the urge to move forward since childhood. And he does: in August 2024, he was the most played artist in Australia for a week, reaching millions of streams, completing national and European tours and performing at SXSW Sydney and BIGSOUND. Along the way he has been supported by brands such as Converse and received mentoring from Angus & Julia Stone.
