Softcult blend shoegaze, grunge and dreampop with the attitude of riot grrrl, shaping a sound they call «riotgaze». The Canadian duo is made up of twin sisters Mercedes and Phoenix Arn-Horn, combining heavy guitars and hazy textures with melodic vocal harmonies and socially conscious songwriting.
Since forming in 2020, Softcult have explored themes such as feminism, identity, social inequality and self-empowerment. Following several EPs, they released their debut album «When A Flower Doesn't Grow» in January 2026, further developing their sound into something both more atmospheric and more powerful.
