With her sweet-groovy sound combined with whimsical lyrics, BENEE is currently the indie pop phenomenon par excellence. Tenderly 21 years young, the DIY musician celebrated her breakthrough in her native New Zealand two years ago with the two singles "Soaked" and "Glitter", both gems from her debut EP "FIRE ON MARZZ". That short album of six catchy danceable bubblegum lofi pop tracks buzzed around the hottest playlists throughout 2019 as BENEE wowed more and more around the world.
After Stella Bennett - as BENEE is known away from the concert stage - dropped out of university following what she calls a "quarter-life crisis" to focus entirely on music, she found a musical ally and supporter in Josh Fountain of Australian band Leisure in 2017. Together, Stella's first singles "Tough Guy" and "Soaked" emerged.
Right away in November 2019, the newcomer doubled down with her "Stella & Dave" EP, collaborating with colorful achiever Gus Dapperton on her earworm "Supalonely." In 2020 BENEE opened with a performance at the legendary Laneway Festival in Australia and now she's about to conquer the concert stages of Europe.
