The 27-year-old Sam Fender from North Shields wants nothing less than to be 'the soaring indie singer-songwriter voice of his generation'. He is well on his way to achieving this: with his stadium-ready indie rock anthems combined with socially critical lyrics, he is currently breaking all records. After being honoured with the BRIT Award in the "Critics Choice" category at the beginning of 2019, he released "Hypersonic Missiles" in September 2019. Along with one compelling single after another, it follows a sold-out tour in England and shows all over Europe. In our country, as well, the success curve pointed steeply upwards. After the sold-out gig in April 2019 at the Papiersaal, Sam Fender was supposed to come to Halle 622 in 2020 for his biggest Swiss concert to date. For unfortunately all-too-familiar reasons, that didn't work out. Now, in May 2022, the time has finally come. The exceptional talent will honour us with his great new album "Seventeen Going Under" in Zurich.
